Boards
Before you start#
- You need a workspace role that can write — owner, admin or member.
- On the free plan a workspace may have 3 boards; archived boards do not count toward the limit.
- Whoever creates a board is given access to it.
Create a board#
Click the three dots beside Boards, choose New board, type a name, pick Empty board or a template, and Create board.
Starting from a template#
Templates ship with Laver (CRM, Sales leads); Saved from your boards holds templates this workspace saved for itself. A template is applied once, at creation — nothing links back to it afterward.
What a new board starts with#
Three status columns — Backlog, In progress, Done (the completion column) — no tickets, and you as its only member.
Save a board as a template#
Right-click the board, Save as template, name it. What is saved is a snapshot: columns with colour and completion mark, labels, and up to 300 tickets. Assignees, dates, comments and attachments are not carried over.
Rename a board, give it a colour, reorder it#
All from the board header or the sidebar row's ⋯ menu. Board colour is owner/admin only and is blended into the canvas at low opacity, so it reads correctly in both light and dark themes.
Archive and restore#
Archiving keeps the board and its tickets, only removing them from the sidebar. Restore from Trash → Archived boards — there is no 30-day sweep on archived boards, only on Delete permanently, which is owner/admin only and destroys the board, tickets, comments and attachments for good.
Configure status columns#
Add, rename, colour, reorder and delete columns from the column header's ⋯ menu — see Statuses and workflow for the completion-column rules.
Entry requirements on a column#
A column can require, before a ticket enters: at least one attachment, at least one assignee, a due date, every subtask ticked off, no unfinished blockers, or that a custom field is filled in. Up to 20 conditions per column, owner/admin only to set. Dragging, the Status dropdown, hover shortcuts and the API are all gated; copying a board, importing, sprint rollover and Trash restore are not.
Stats#
Counts for the board right now, plus How work has been moving — cycle time, its 85th percentile, open work and its median age, delivered per week and per person, all measured from the last twelve weeks of column history. Nobody estimates anything, so there is no velocity or burndown.
Feedback forms#
A public link — no Laver account needed — that files a ticket onto this board. Owner-only to create; up to 20 forms per board, 500 responses each.
