Overview

Tickets

A ticket is one card on a board.

Create a ticket#

New task in the board header, press C, or Add task in a column — all three ask for a title and nothing else. Titles can be up to 500 characters.

The fields a ticket has#

Title, rich-text description (headings, lists, checklists, tables, images — type / for the command menu), assignees, status, priority, start/due dates, labels (up to 20), a success-criteria checklist, and attachments.

There is no cover-image field — the card shows the oldest image attachment — and no group picker in the app.

Custom fields#

A board can define its own: text, number, date, checkbox, single select or currency. Defining one is an owner/admin decision; filling it in is not. Included in CSV export and the API.

Split a description line into its own ticket#

Highlight text in a description and Create ticket appears. The first line becomes the title, the whole selection becomes the description, and the highlighted words turn into a link back to the new ticket.

Move, reorder, assign#

Drag, change Status, or use a hover shortcut. Reordering within a column is drag-only and is switched off while a filter is active.

Blocked by / Blocks (two ends of one link), Related to, Duplicate of. A no unfinished blockers entry requirement turns a link into an enforced rule.

Repeat a ticket#

Every n days/weeks/months/years. Each occurrence is a new ticket — title, description, priority, labels and custom fields copy across; comments, assignees, dates and attachments do not.

Move to another board, duplicate, delete#

Deletes are recoverable for 30 days from Trash. Duplicates copy description, labels, priority, due date, assignees and success criteria — comments and attachments are not copied.

Keyboard shortcuts#

C new ticket, / filter box, Enter open, Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+arrows move between columns, Cmd/Ctrl+Enter save. Full list on the profile page.
